Clearing homes in Citywest
Citywest began as a business campus beside the N7 in the early 1990s, with the hotel following, and the homes came afterwards: apartment blocks and duplexes around Fortunestown and the shopping centre, houses and townhouses on the estates towards Saggart, and Fettercairn and Jobstown just to the east on the Tallaght side. The Luas red line was extended through it in 2011, with stops at Citywest Campus, Fortunestown and Saggart, and that is when the area filled in.
Nearly all of it is less than twenty-five years old, so the jobs here are not the eighty-year family houses we see in older parts of Dublin. They are apartments changing tenants, first-time buyers moving on to a bigger house, landlords selling up, and the occasional office on the campus closing down. Each tends to be one or two van loads, and what makes them different is the building, not the contents.
Two people and a box van do the work. You send photos on WhatsApp, we quote, we sort out the lift and parking with the management company, and we carry everything out.

What we clear in Citywest
- Apartment clear-outs in Fortunestown and around the shopping centre, for landlords, letting agents and owners selling. Our apartment clearance service is built around lifts, fobs and management companies.
- Houses and townhouses on the estates towards Saggart and Fettercairn, before a sale or at the end of a tenancy.
- Furniture removal of single pieces: a corner sofa that will not go back in the lift, a king-size bed, a flat-pack wardrobe that was never meant to move. The furniture removal page explains how we price it.
- Office clearances on the Citywest campus when a business moves or shuts: desks, chairs, filing and old equipment. See our office clearance page.
- Storage units at the self-storage facilities along the N7 corridor, when it is time to stop paying for one.
- Bags and boxes left after a move, for the tenant who ran out of time.
A complete factory or warehouse unit on the campus needs a dedicated warehouse and factory clearance service rather than us.
Access, parking and the practical bits
Apartment access is the whole story in Citywest. The blocks have lifts, fob-controlled doors and underground car parks with height barriers, so the van stays at street level and everything comes through the lobby. We book the lift and keep the common areas clear as we go. Some blocks limit deliveries to certain hours, and we fit in with that.
Houses on the estates are easier: a driveway or an on-street space outside, a side gate to the garden, and a small shed. The newer estates have narrow roads and tight turning circles, so we take care where the van goes.
Fortunestown Way, the N7 junction and the roads around the shopping centre are busy at commuting times and on Saturday afternoons. Citywest is a straight run for us from our Dublin base along the M50 and out the N7, and Tallaght, Saggart and Rathcoole are minutes away if a job has two addresses.
Why people in Citywest call us
You cannot put a skip beside an apartment block, and most management companies would not allow it if you could, so a crew that arrives, loads and leaves is the only sensible way to empty a flat here. For houses, a skip on a shared estate road needs a permit and a tolerant neighbour, and you still carry every item to it.
One customer put it better than we can: “Ciprian and his team of two swiftly assessed the clearance based on provided photos, arrived punctually, and energetically tackled the task at hand. Despite my underestimation of the amount of junk to be cleared, they maintained the agreed price without any adjustments from their end.” — Anthony, City West.
We hold a waste collection permit and separate what we take: furniture and household goods in usable condition go for reuse or donation, recyclables are kept apart, and the rest goes to a licensed waste transfer station. For landlords, our apartment clearance guide covers the sequence between one tenant and the next.
Citywest borders Tallaght at Fettercairn and Jobstown, Rathcoole and Saggart to the west, and Clondalkin back along the N7, and we work all of them as a single patch.
